Oh, how the seasons change.

Rereading these last few posts, I'm reminded how much I have changed over the course of the last few years. The shift in gears is immense...In a positive way!

The biggest transition has been my motivation and my determination to find my niche. In retrospect, I have been such a lost adolescent...no goals, no ambition, no structure. Who has those things during that age anyway, right?
You know what I've discovered in my mid twenties? Structure is good. Real good!
I was always so resilient to routine and order yet I always wondered why I never felt "together"...silly girl.

Anywho! I was discussing with a friend how I wanted to get back into blogging. I enjoy writing and miss it. When I was blogger/journalist, I was a better writer, quicker on my feet, had more wit, and more articulate in my speech. It's crazy how it translates over into your real world communication!

Now, to the good stuff!
I am aiming to make this blog a well-rounded place for all things I love and am passionate about. Here are a few things but not limited to:
  • Education (teaching techniques, lesson plans, materials, etc.)
  • Cooking (especially strange concoctions. I am all about recipes!)
  • Music (good tunes...this is endless!)
  • Home (decor, design, etc.)
  • Handcrafting (sewing, carpentry, crocheting, painting, etc.)
  • DIY (I love a new recipe for homemade cleaner or a weekend project to get organized. Oh, the possibilities!)
  • Health and fitness (not my most practiced but always looking for improvement!)
  •  Literature (novels, autobiographies, magazines, articles, memes, I don't care. I'm a scatter-brained reader but I'm always reading something.)
  • Self - Improvement (I'm a sucker for inspirational quotes.)
Speaking of, here is a most recent obsession. Tyler Knot Gregson's Typewriter Series:

We'll spend the night at St. Joseph's.

Please tell me you watch this and feel some part of your soul light up too.
They are summer <3 a="">.

I've recently embraced my love for anything and everything owl-oriented. I'm working on a few things myself. Meanwhile, here's some inspiration:

So, I finally visited the local farmer's market.
I was quite impressed with the size here in le 'Boro.
I only picked out a cantaloupe howeverrr, that doesn't change the fact I'm beyond stoked about devouring it.

Effortless effort.

Blog?
Hope I can make this a habit?
Crossing my fingers and toes.

Sarah Applebaum. One of the most original and brilliantly intense things I've ever seen.

So, I've pretty much engulfed my life with the sounds of Bon Iver (aka Justin Vernon).
I can't classify his sound nor do I feel the need to.
Luckily, I recently saw him live in St. Pete, FL while I was on vaca.
Elvis Perkins in Dearland, whom I wasn't familiar with, was the opening act (oh, not to mention they were fucking brilliant).
When Bon Iver took the stage I think I can speak for the majority of the sardine packed venue that Justin's voice was hypnotizing...and his stage appearance was so genuine and warm. There was this sense of utter talent and soul coming from the stage. It's honestly on my top 3. By far.

P.s. Summer is warm here. I still wear sweaters.
